Stance on SOPAEdit

As a member of the Judiciary Committee, Jackson-Lee will be able to vote on whether to pass the Stop Online Piracy Act out of committee and onto the House floor. She has indicated her opposition to the bill, saying that the loopholes in the legislation "would allow innocent sites to be shut down, thereby a loss of jobs." She has also raised national security and First Amendment concerns.[1]
