Tom Coburn (born March 14, 1948) is a member of the United States Senate, where he has represented Oklahoma since 2005. He was previously a member of the United States House of Representatives, where he represented Oklahoma's 2nd district from 1995 to 2001.
Coburn is a member of the Republican Party and serves on the Senate Judiciary Committee, as well as the Senate Committee on Finance and the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.
As a member of the Judiciary Committee, Senator Coburn voted in favor of moving the PROTECT IP Act out of committee for a vote on the Senate floor.
